Super Bloom 2019 - Places to see it and avoid the traffic in Lake Elsinore CA

It's safe to say that the City of Lake Elsinore is thrilled with the national exposure that the recent explosion of growth in the wild poppies located in the hills of Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore. 

This magnificent phenomenon is being referred to internationally as SuperBloom 2019 and it has unfortunately taken and unexpected and unsustainable toll on the traffic management systems on the beautiful city of Lake Elsinore.  

 

The influx of hundreds of thousand of eager visitors hoping to get "that perfect spring picture" has created a traffic nightmare!! The city of Lake Elsinore has activated a  Superbloom Hotline at 951-471-1238 to allow visitors to call to get the most current information about status of the roads in the area and any updates on area closures. Even with this in place the delays on the freeway that runs along side the colorful display of flowers can be extensive some days.  Parking along the side roads and foot traffic for those trying to get up to the viewing areas is a hazard on most days.

The Anza Borrego Desert - The Borrego Springs SuperBloom2019 is another chance to see the spectacular colors of this years spring bloom! This is a much larger area which allows for better crowd control and the opportunity to spread out and get many great pictures! Get directions to all the viewing locations inside the Anza Borrego State Park!

 

The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve - This California State park is located in Antelope Valley California. They are currently experiencing a bloom that is expected to last through Mothers Day 2019. For information on WHERE in the park to find the blooms as well are access rules check here!

 

 

These are some of the most popular locations but there are several others up and down the coast of California!  Grab your camera, hop in your car, have google find you a few locations and make some GREAT MEMORIES!!!
